We’re proud to announce that Loom is now available for download.
Loom is a place for all your photos and videos. One library, seamlessly organized and accessible from anywhere, with endless space to add. Hassle-free, so you can get back to what’s important.
We recently shared a post with you about Loom’s vision of an ideal solution for all the headaches and issues that come with managing our growing libraries of photos and videos. We’ve received a lot of great feedback from our alpha and beta users, and we continue to hear from others (especially photographers). People have consistently told us that there is still a huge need for a better personal cloud storage solution specifically tailored to photos and videos. We’ve received thousands of email requests since our announcement in May. We’re thrilled by the response, and we’re looking forward to getting Loom into everyone’s hands.
Because we’re handling large amounts of personal photos and videos, we want to give our utmost care and attention to each user. Loom depends on servers in the cloud to quickly upload gigabytes of photos and videos and allow our users to access and manage them from any device. Although we have designed our infrastructure to scale quickly, we want to be absolutely sure that everything runs smoothly from the beginning.
The best way to facilitate this is by continuing to use reservations to control the flow of new accounts. It’s really simple – if you’ve already reserved a spot with Loom, you’ll soon receive an email from us with instructions on how to activate your account. If you haven’t reserved a spot for Loom, you can sign up now. We’ll be activating accounts on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis.
We thank you in advance for your patience as we scale as fast as we can: building the ideal cloud storage solution and transforming photo management is no small feat. We’d appreciate it if you told your friends, family, or colleagues who might be interested in reserving a spot too.
